John J. York

John J. York is a native of Chicago where he started his acting career in 1980 taking classes at Wisdom Bridge Theater under the guidance of Edward Kaye-Martin. John moved to Los Angeles in January 1983 to begin his journey in Hollywood. In September of 1983, John’s most memorable audition was for Barbara Remsen for a film ‘Chattanooga Choo Choo’ in which he landed a co-starring role, but most importantly, John met his future bride, Vicki, who was working as a casting assistant at the time. Over the next few years, John landed roles on shows like Murder She Wrote, Family Ties, Hotel, Hunter, and several others. It was in 1987 when John got his first big break on Fox TV series ‘Werewolf’. Over the next few years John landed different roles in both TV and film when in 1991, John landed the role of Mac Scorpio in ABC Daytime’s General Hospital where he continues to recur to this day.(depending on what day this is😳) John married Vicki in 1986, and in 1991, Vicki gave birth to there only daughter, Schyler. John is also a very proud Funcle to history nephew, Shaun. John and Vicki spend their free time kissin’ and lovin’ up on their Grandson Elija Gabriel!
