Lyman High School is located in the city of Longwood, in the heart of Central Florida. The school, founded in 1924, has been consistently ranked among the best in the state by the Florida Department of Education. Lyman houses a magnet program for Engineering. With an emphasis on mathematics and science students can specialize in Aerospace, Electrical, Bioengineering, Computer Modeling and Simulation or Architecture. Lyman is also known for its World Champion Winter Guard Program. The Lyman Diamonds won the Gold Medal in their classification in 2014 and finished in the top three in 2009 and 2017 in international competition.
