Voted class clown all through school, Matthew Lillard took an acting class and decided acting was for him. His first role was as an uncredited extra on Ghoulies III. He studied theater and performed on broadway before becoming a co-host on SK8 TV. Matt’s third ever film audition land him Chip in Serial Mom, setting the path for the offbeat quirky characters that he is best known for. Starring in Wes Craven’s ground-breaking Scream, Matt stood out in the ensemble cast. He proved his dramatic versatility by playing Tim in Dead Man’s Curve and Stevo in SLC Punk, which won an Independent Spirit Award. In 2002, Scooby Doo came along. Matt nailed his portrayal, and was back reprising his role as Shaggy two years later. He then went on to star in films such as Without A Paddle, The Groomsmen, Spooner, and The Descendants. Home Run Showdown, formerly known as Home Run Derby, pit Matthew against Dean Cain as sibling baseball coaches.
