Caporales San Simón Cochabamba California is one of the most influential Bolivian dance groups on the West Coast. We proudly represent the tradition of Caporales, a folkloric dance from Bolivia known for its energy, rhythm, and vibrant costumes. Our group is part of a much larger international fraternity, with the main institution in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and chapters (filiales) across the United States, Europe, and Latin America.
Since our founding in California, we have grown into a diverse family of dancers, students, and professionals who dedicate their time and energy to celebrating Bolivian culture. Each year, we debut handmade costumes imported directly from Bolivia, preserving authenticity while bringing a colorful and dynamic presence to major parades and cultural festivals.
Our participation extends beyond performance we build community, create lifelong friendships, and share the richness of Bolivian heritage with audiences of all backgrounds. Through annual appearances at landmark events such as Carnaval San Francisco and the Hollywood Christmas Parade, we have established ourselves as one of the most visible and celebrated cultural dance groups in the region.
