When they first began writing their debut record Tide Is Changing, AshenMoon bassist Garry Beers and singer Toby Rand collaborated on their passion project in Beers’ garage studio. There, guitarist/writer Jimmy Khoury joined them to create the recipe and sound of AshenMoon. Rounding out the group were pianist Kenny Dickenson (KT Tunstall), drummer Jason Ganberg (Dorothy), and guitarist Sebastian Gregory (The Veronica’s), who add the alternative influence to the live performances. The AshenMoon record is majestically anthemic, whilst remaining intimate. “Not since my days with INXS have I felt more connected to music.
