With a career that spans nearly three decades, actress Alanna Ubach has amassed an impressive resume with over 150 theater, film and television projects, bringing dynamic performances and working with a number of the industry’s most revered directors. Ubach can next be seen starring as ‘Susan Bennett’ in Seth MacFarlane’s new prequel series TED set for release on Peacock on January 11, 2024.
She is most recently and notably recognized for her role in the critically acclaimed television series EUPHORIA as ‘Suze’ the single alcoholic mother to ‘Cassie’ (Sydney Sweeney) and ‘Lexi’ (Maude Apatow).
In 2019, she was nominated for a SAG award for her performance as ‘Jeanine Pirro’ in BOMBSHELL (starring Margot Robbie). As a result of her role in that film, The New York Times called her “a seriously talented actress” to “keep your eye on.”
Her other film and television credits include Peabody Award-winning MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE, the Oscar-winning COCO as ‘Mama Imelda,’ the family’s matriarch, the blockbuster hit LEGALLY BLONDE and WAITING. Alanna was a lead voice in the animated series CROSSING SWORDS as well as MONSTER’S INC.
Ubach’s father, Rodolfo, is Puerto Rican, and her mother, Sidna González, is Mexican. She was born and raised in Downey and resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Thom Russo, and their son, Thomas Rodolfo Russo, the third.
