San Marino Dance Academy

Founded in 1981, San Marino Dance Academy has spent over four decades inspiring young dancers and sharing the magic of the performing arts with communities near and far. Our company has toured Europe with the Young Tanzsommer “Stars of Tomorrow,” performing in historic opera houses once graced by Mozart and Marie Antoinette. At home, our dancers have taken the stage under the bright lights of Crypto Arena, danced down Disneyland’s Main Street Parade, and appeared nationally on ABC’s Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade.

We are honored to be recognized as a Studio of Excellence by the Association of Dance Competitions & Conventions a distinction that reflects the dedication, artistry, and professionalism of our dancers and faculty. We are also proud members of the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO), supporting high standards in dance education and training nationwide. SMDA continues to shine through regional and national competitions, annual performances of The Nutcracker alongside the Moscow Ballet and Red Chair Productions, and celebrated showings at the University of Arizona Jazz Dance Festival.

Our teaching staff – educated, driven, and committed to strong technical training nurtures every dancer with care and creativity. This year’s parade routine was choreographed by Kat Cheng, a celebrated professional whose credits include touring with Sabrina Carpenter, Jackson Wang, and Mariah Carey.
