The United American Indian Involvement (UAII) has been serving the Native American community in Los Angeles since 1974. Founded by Marian Zucco (Paiute) and Babba Cooper (Lakota), UAII was created to provide culturally responsive health, social, and community services to Native people living in the Los Angeles area. Today, UAII continues this legacy by connecting individuals and families with comprehensive health care, behavioral health services, community programs, youth services, cultural programming, food assistance, and other resources. Through its programs and partnerships, UAII works to strengthen the Native community, promote wellness, preserve culture, and create opportunities for future generations. UAII remains committed to honoring its roots while serving the Native community in Los Angeles.
