Caporales Universitarios of San Simon

“Caporales San Simón Universitarios is a cultural association that promotes Bolivian folklore through the Caporales dance, which originated in La Paz in the 1970s and is inspired by the Afro-Bolivian Saya dance.

Re-established in California in 2023, the group has a rich history of performances and accolades, including wins at the Gran Carnival San Francisco Parade and participation in the Hollywood Christmas Parade.

With multiple locations in California, the association aims to foster cultural exchange and appreciation by engaging diverse audiences through their vibrant performances.”
