The Thomas Jefferson High School Jaguar Marching band is modeled after collegiate level “Big Ten”style high stepping ensembles. Over the course of each three month season, the Jefferson MarchingBand performs in several regional parades, four unique, memorized home football game halftimeshows, and a weekend of choreographed indoor concerts.
During the past 46 years the musical experiences of the Jefferson Bands have included 3appearances at the Tournament of Roses celebration in Pasadena, California, along withappearances at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas, the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Texas, theHollywood Christmas Parade in Los Angeles, California, the Holiday Bowl Parade and Halftime showin San Diego, the Outback Bowl parade and halftime show in Orlando, Florida,the Waikiki HolidayParade, and on the deck of the U.S.S. Missouri Battleship, in Hawaii, and four appearances in theFiesta Bowl Parade in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Jefferson bands have toured Canada, Spain, Mexico, England, Norway, Hawaii, the DominicanRepublic, Ireland, Costa Rica, Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, and Puerto Rico.They have appeared on eight different occasions at Disney World, being the first Minnesota band toperform there in 1972
