The Young Marines is a national non-profit 501c (3) youth development and service program for boys and girls, aged eight through high school graduation. The mission of the Young Marines program is to positively impact America’s future by providing a quality youth development program that nurtures and develops its members into responsible citizens who enjoy and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. Our motto is: the Young Marines ‘Strengthens the lives of America’s Youth’ by teaching the importance of self-confidence, academic achievement, honoring our veterans, good citizenship, community service, and living a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The Young Marines promotes the mental, moral, and physical development of its members and focuses on character building and leadership skills, while always promoting a lifestyle that is conducive to being productive members of society.
The Young Marines units work closely with Marine Corps League Detachments across the country and Toys for Tots, especially during the holiday season to make sure that no child goes without a toy. We also have Young Marines who are Toys for Tots Youth Ambassadors in their communities across the country.
