GAY MEN’S CHORUS OF LOS ANGELES, under the leadership of Executive Director & Producer Lou Spisto and Artistic Director Ernest H. Harrison, is excited to begin its 48th season of music and service, following an incredible overseas tour at World Pride in Amsterdam and London this past summer, performing to sold-out audiences at great concert halls like the Concertgebouw and St. Paul’s Church in Convent Garden.
GMCLA invites you join them at LA’s historic Saban Theatre for their upcoming 2026-27 concert season, which will feature 3 amazing productions, beginning with a heartwarming celebration of the music of Dolly Parton with A VERY DOLLY HOLIDAY in December, followed by big hair and big bands in ROCK GODS & ANTHEMS in March and their always fabulous Pride Season Finale, THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND in June.
In addition to the mainstage concert season, GMCLA’s free community concert program has provided access to concerts to thousands each year, and its innovative Alive Muisc Project has served over 100,000 high school students to date.
GMCLA continues to garner acclaim for artistic excellence while remaining deeply rooted in service to the Los Angeles community and beyond by promoting civil rights, tolerance, and acceptance through music. Founded in 1979 during the emergence of the gay rights movement, GMCLA has raised its collective voice in the movement toward equality, social justice, the AIDS crisis, the fight for marriage equality, and all those seeking to find their own voice.
Critics have proclaimed the Chorus “inspired” and “expressive, innovative and utterly moving,” and have hailed GMCLA for presenting “meaningful entertainment.”
The Chorus has performed at major venues, including Walt Disney Concert Hall and Hollywood Bowl, Royce Hall and the Alex Theatre, and has appeared at New York’s iconic Carnegie Hall and has toured throughout Europe, Russia, and South America.
With these performances and tours, as well as extensive output on YouTube and social media, the Chorus has followers across the globe and has represented the LGBTQ+ community and Los Angeles on a global stage.
