Raised in Minneapolis, Wyn sang his first solos in church. The soaring power of gospel music took ahold of him at a young age, as did the pop songs, soul records, and R&B hits that he’d listen to at home, hidden from the rest of the world behind his family’s couch, headphones pressed to his ears. To Wyn, it all sounded like magic.
Before long, Wyn was creating spellbinding music of his own — music that made room for the wide range of his influences, while also pushing forward into new territory. Looking for a town whose music community was equally as diverse as his art, he headed to Nashville.

Following the loss of his hospitality industry job during the height of the COVID pandemic, Wyn responded by putting all of his focus on his musical career, which led to his appearance on “America’s Got Talent” Season 17. After sharing part of his story with the judges and fans, Wyn performed his hit track, “Who I Am” which earned him 2 standing ovations and his audition video immediately went viral. Wyn Starks is celebrating the holidays with a tour entitled “Who I AM” playing his first headline shows in NY, LA, Nashville, Atlanta and his home town of Minneapolis.
