The 110 member Burton Bulldog Marching Band is made up of 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students from the Burton School District in Porterville California. We have some special guest performers that are even younger. The band is under the direction of Jack Amaral. Auxiliary Instructors are Laura Velarde, Hugo Baez and Elyssa Ozuna. Drum Instructor is Carlos Rojas. The Burton Bulldog Band has been recognized as one of the top bands in the Central Valley—and across the state! This outstanding group of musicians recently marched down Main Street USA in the Disneyland Parade, showcasing their talent on one of the nation’s most iconic stages.
Their excellence hasn’t gone unnoticed. The California Music Educators Association (CMEA) has honored the Burton Bulldog Band as one of the top bands in California, a testament to their hard work, dedication, and musical excellence.
