Origin Hip Hop Dreamz featuring the Sunrays

Founded in 2010 by Cheryl Frye and her children Hip Hop International  medalist Darius Frye, and his sisterThe American Music and Dramatic Academy (New York) graduate Destiny Frye  The Origin and Hip Hop Dreamz Elite represents the first Black Owned Hip Hop Studio in San Diego, The Origin Hip Hop Academy. Credits and accolades include World of Dance Winners Circle, Hip Hop International Team USA, and three nationally televised performances at the prestigious, star studded Hollywood Christmas Parade. Recently chosen to represent the USA at the prestigious World Dance Crew Championships Spring 2025 in New Zealand. There goal is to stay true to the culture by representing the most authentic version of the 50 plus year History of Hip Hop! They have trained with Hip Hop Icons and Pioneers, Don Cambellock Campbell, Boogaloo Shrimp, Shabadoo,  Toni Basil and Dave Scott. Awarded Best Studio and Best Instruction In San Diego by the San Diego City Voter A- list 2016 and 2017. This year we will be joined by our sister school all the way from Chicago’ The Chicago SunRays!
