The Cherry Creek High School Marching Band has built a reputation as one of Colorado’s premier competitive marching programs. Since 2021, the band has been a consistent Colorado Bandmasters Association (CBA) Metro Regional 5A State finalist, advancing to the CBA State Finals every year since 2018.
The band has also excelled locally, taking 1st Place Band honors at the Western Welcome Week Parade multiple times (2021–2026), along with special recognitions for its Drum Majors, Percussion, and Color Guard sections. At the 9News Parade of Lights, the band claimed 1st Place for Marching/Music and Lighting in both 2022 and 2024, continuing a tradition that includes 10 appearances in that parade since 2000.
Beyond Colorado, the band’s excellence has earned it national performance invitations, including a spot in the Hollywood Christmas Parade in 2022 and a 2024 performance tour at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. Over the years, the program has been selected for the Citrus Bowl Parade and Hollywood Christmas Parade a combined five times.
