Lieutenant General James B. Laster, USMC (Retired)

Lieutenant General Laster is the President & CEO of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.  Before coming to Toys for Tots, General Laster served for over 38 years as a Marine infantry officer.  His assignments ranged from serving as an infantry platoon and company commander, Operations Officer, 15thMarine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), Commander, 3d Battalion, 4thMarines, Commanding General of Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island to serving as the Commanding General of 3rdMarine Division.  His General Officer Staff assignments included duty as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Joint Operations, ISAF Joint Command in Afghanistan, Chief of Staff of United States Special Operations Command and Director of the Marine Corps Staff.  Lieutenant General Laster retired from active duty in December 2017.
