The Salvation Army

Since 1878, The Salvation Army (founded 1865 in London) has brass bands in worldwide regions comprised of over 50,000 plus registered and growing volunteer Bandsmen linked to their charitable work. Other types of bands and choral members also participate. These musicians share their talents in public places during the calendar year becoming more visible during Christmas which has become a part of seasonal customs, parades and immortalized in film/tv.
